Welcome to A.M.A Careem Jewellers Pvt Ltd ("Careems", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, www.careems.com ("website"), and any purchases, enquiries, or services provided through it.

1. Use of the Website

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the website. You must not attempt to damage, hack, disrupt, or misuse the website or any related systems.

2. Products and Availability

Careems offers fine jewellery, gemstones, and related luxury products. Product images displayed on the website are for illustrative purposes. Due to the nature of gemstones and handcrafted jewellery, variations in colour, size, or appearance may occur.

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue or modify products without prior notice.

3. Pricing and Payment

Prices when displayed on the website may be shown in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). Prices may change without prior notice. Any applicable taxes, duties, shipping, or delivery charges may be added at checkout or communicated separately.

Payments must be made through approved payment methods. Careems reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order where payment is not successfully processed or where fraud is suspected.

4. Orders and Confirmation

Placing an order or submitting an enquiry does not guarantee acceptance. An order is considered accepted only when Careems issues an official invoice confirmation (via email, WhatsApp or physical document).

We reserve the right to cancel orders at our discretion, including but not limited to pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on location, customs processing, and courier services. Careems is not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers or customs authorities.

International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, and clearance requirements. These costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery.

6. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Products are eligible for refund or exchange in Sri Lanka within 30 days of purchase. All merchandise must be in perfect saleable condition, with the sales receipt. Please note the following terms apply:

  • Merchandise under Sri Lankan Rupees 1.5 million or of equal value in the foreign currency it was purchased is entitled for a refund within 30 days of purchase.
  • Merchandise sold at Sri Lankan Rupees 1.5 million or above or of equal value in foreign currency may only be exchanged within 30 days and is not eligible for a refund.
  • Any customised items made to order and engraved items are not eligible for refund or exchange.
  • Merchandise returned or exchanged must be accompanied by original packaging as well as all the certificates provided.

Refund Procedure

  • The returned merchandise should be handed to the same Careems branch it was purchased from. Any shipping charges or taxes involved in returning items from overseas should be borne by the customer.
  • For purchases done by credit card, the same credit card used will be credited in the currency transacted after deducting card transaction and bank charges. All other refunds will be made in Sri Lankan rupees.
  • Refunds will be processed within 10 working days from the date of return.
  • Refunds can only be made directly to the purchaser and not to any other party.

Exchange Procedure

  • The item to be exchanged should be brought to the Careems store it was purchased.
  • Any shipping costs and taxes which may be involved in exchanging the item will be borne by the customer.

7. Gemstone and Jewellery Disclaimer

Gemstones and diamonds may have natural inclusions and variations. Carat weight, colour, and clarity grading may differ slightly depending on certification standards and lighting conditions.

Careems may provide its own gemstone or jewellery guarantee certificate and third-party certification where applicable. Any valuation, certificate, or appraisal is provided for reference and does not guarantee future resale value.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, designs, logos, product descriptions, text, and branding, is the property of A.M.A. Careem Jewellers or its licensors and is protected under intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, copy, modify, or use any content without our prior written permission.

9. Customer Conduct and Accuracy of Information

You agree that any information you provide to Careems, including contact details, shipping details, and payment details, is accurate and complete.

Careems is not responsible for losses arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Careems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website, products purchased, or services provided.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the relevant product or service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Privacy

Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. External Links

The website may contain links to third-party websites for convenience. Careems does not control or endorse these websites and is not responsible for their content, policies, or services.

13. Force Majeure

Careems shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, courier delays, war, or government restrictions.

Careems reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with the revised effective date. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
